I finally tackled the curtains in my guest room and I have to say the IKEA double curtain rod made my life so much easier. I was able to hang the front curtains on their own rod. I made them from fabric I purchased at Jo-Ann's on clearance. The colors are a beautiful sea blue/green/navy flourish. They reminded me of some of my favorite stamps from Stampin Up.
You can visit my friend Kimberly's Stampin Up site to see some of their newest stamps!
The gauze curtains in the background are from IKEA and I spent a total of $40 on both windows! Isn't that amazing???
Plus I got some practice using my Singer sewing machine. The only problem I can see is that the gauze curtains need have the hem fixed. One panel hangs crooked and it is driving me crazy LOL.
Let me know what you think :)

Those curtains are beautiful, great job!
Looks great! Way to go! We are tackling the basement (ugh!). This week we tackled one corner "room" of it.
Those curtains are very pretty! The fabric is awesome. I love the clearance section at Joann's! :-D
Great Tackle yo go! Come check out my awesome tackle. VROOOOM VROOOM!
I really like that fabric. Sewing for my home has saved money. Curtains are especially nice because the fabric can always be used for something else later. Great job!
