I came across this site that lists a huge directory for web hosting choices. It actually allows you to input the amount you wish to spend each month on hosting, disk space needed, bandwidth and the set-up fee maximum you wish to pay. I thought it was quite interesting.
The directory lists hundreds of hosts and also a good FAQ page to help you with any questions you might have about website hosting. There is also a useful list about web hosting scams that I would suggest reading especially if you are new to web hosting services.
